It’s a sad day today at Coultish Towers…

It’s with great saddness that i have to annouce the passing away of Jake the Dog. Aged 15 years (105 in dog years).

It is important that we remember the happy times…I’ll start with taking him for a walk in Bishopthorpe and jake being jake he decided to jumpĀ in the river and ruining a fishing match for about 30 anglers…..Still on the funny side after he had been in the river for 30 minutes with me shouting at him to get out he did get out and he had caught a fish………

Why did they both want to sleep on the Blue bed......???

  1. sorry to hear about the sad passing of Jake,as you know we always enjoyed having him on his “extended holidays” at our house. My greatest memory’s of him is when as a young dog out on walks on the cycle track he would spot a rabbit and would give chase, (of course he had no chance of catching it) but would still run after it until the rabbit got fed up with the game and would suddenly veer of the track sharp left or right into the undergrowth, Jake would eventually get to the spot the rabbit disappeared and stop dead in his track,s and the look on his face would be, where the hell did it go ?

  2. sorry to hear of his passing away. My memory is of the christening of ben and becky when we walked back to acaster lane to find Jake in the front garden! He had wondered down there from Naburn for a bit of peace and quiet. Scared us to death though at 2am.
