{"id":180,"date":"2008-01-26T21:33:31","date_gmt":"2008-01-26T21:33:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/coultish.co.uk\/?page_id=180"},"modified":"2008-01-28T17:04:31","modified_gmt":"2008-01-28T17:04:31","slug":"recipes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/coultish.co.uk\/?page_id=180","title":{"rendered":"Recipes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is the first installment of our favourite recipes.<\/p>\n<p>First up, that we can remember is:&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Homemade Bar B Que Sauce<\/p>\n<p>\u00a02 tbsp olive oil<br \/>\n2 onions, roughly chopped<br \/>\n4 garlic cloves, crushed<br \/>\n2 red chillies, finely chopped<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp dried chilli flakes<br \/>\n110g\/4oz dark brown sugar<br \/>\n600g\/1lb 5oz tomato ketchup<br \/>\n110ml\/4fl oz dark soy sauce<\/p>\n<p>To Make<\/p>\n<p>1, For the marinade, heat a deep-sided frying pan until hot, then add the olive oil, onions and garlic. Fry for 4-5 minutes, or until the onion has softened.<\/p>\n<p>2, \u00a0Add the chillies, chilli flakes, fennel seeds and brown sugar and cook for a further 1-2 minutes, until the sugar has melted.<\/p>\n<p>3, \u00a0Add the tomato ketchup and soy sauce. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for ten minutes, until thickened. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly, then transfer to a food processor and blend to a smooth paste.<\/p>\n<p>4, \u00a0Remove the ribs from the poaching liquor and place onto a baking tray. Spoon the marinade over the ribs, turning to make sure they are completely coated.
